Andrew E. Rothovius (1919-2009) was a native of Milford, N.H., half Yankee, half Finnish, and a self-educated polymath whose interests were esoteric and wide-ranging. While working a variety of jobs to provide for himself, his real interest was the pursuit of his scholarly research, whose fruits graced the pages of many regional publications in New England, including the Old Farmer’s Almanac.
