In 2012 when we got our boy Max we really wasn’t looking for a dog. While at NCSU our son Shane had adopted a shelter dog named Max. He was a black Boston Terrier/Pug mix (Bugg). Shane asked us if we could keep Max because his new landlord didn’t allow dogs. We of course said yes. The vet guessed him to be around 5 years old then. From day one Max has always loved us unconditionally and never destroyed any of our property.
In 2021 Max was diagnosed with Cushings Disease and Diabetes and they took their tole on him and us as his parents. Max has been blind and deaf for over 6 months and lately has lost control of his bodily functions and balance. He has now got to where his quality of life is failing and it’s now time for us to let Max run across the rainbow bridge where he can be pain free.
We are taking Max to Dairy Queen for a ice cream treat surprise and his last car ride will be to the vet Dr Turner in Cherryville NC on 08/01/2022@1530 hrs.
Max’s ashes will be placed in a urn to keep with us but a small amount of ashes will be took to Oak Island to be spread upon the water because he loved the beach so much. Max will take a portion of our hearts with him and he will forever be remembered as the bestest friend any family could ever have. RIP our sweet baby.
I am so sorry to hear about it. I once had a pittbull named Gracie. And then we discovered that our mom had dog allergies so we had to give her back to the shelter. I only I one memory from her left. It was a good one at least
Sorry to hear about Max, my Yorkiepoo Cricket had similar problems when she died six years ago at 16 years old. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her, she’s sorely missed.
My mini terrier and chihuahua mix is 20 years, 5 months and 21 days old. She came to me at 18.5 after being rescued after her owner died. She has no hearing, they had to pull all of her teeth because they were infected and keeping her from eating and she is losing her sight but she has spunk and such a string will to live. She loves the park, her little bed and any soft treats that she can gum 😊. I know that I won’t have her forever but 20 1/2 is pretty good and I am thankful every day for each moment that I have with her
Iam so sorry Iam sitting here and my dog a Chihuahua he is not acting right he’s I think like 17 is not eating and lethargic I think he’s dying and I don’t know . Iam taking him to the vet Iam sorry about your fur baby
Me best friend ,mate and loving companion igot him (jak)when he was 7mths old and now he s 13 an a half I lost him to a tumor on his spleen they told me he wouldn't survive the op we had so much fun together weather it was fishing in the boat or touring the north lsland and part of the south island hewas spoilt in lots of ways with ice reams fresh fish dinners and even salmon plus surlion steak I miss him heaps he was my little boy and I just hope that when the time comes we will.be together again forever jak was a foxy

My puggle was less than 2 months from his 18th birthday. Such a precious boy. I knew I would outlive him, but still hard. He was with me as long as a son now going off to college.
I have an 8 year old Chewini i had her since a little after i was born and I'm not sure what I will do when she dies too
