How are cobwebs formed?
Answer
Cobweb is the name usually given to a spiderweb that is covered with accumulated dirt and dust. Located in a spider’s abdomen are glands called spinnerets, which secrete the substance the spider uses to “spin” the silken threads. Spiderweb designs vary according to the species of spider, but each web usually has several spokes leading from the main structure.
