I have a load of dirt with a 5 percent lime content. Is it suitable for fill in my lawn?
Answer
We don’t see why you can’t go ahead and use the dirt. Lime’s chief value is to make acid soils sweeter, and lawns do tend to become acid, particularly in rainy climates. Also, the 5 percent content is quite small.
