If you’re outside during a lighting storm, stay away from isolated trees and buildings, stay out of boats and water, and avoid metal fences, poles and wires. Drop your golf clubs and get off the course. Inside, stay clear of fireplaces, tubs, attics, doors, and windows. Anyone indirectly struck by lightning may need artificial respiration; a direct strike will require burn treatment, as well.
