Butter Pecan Butter

Do you think it would work to darkly toast chopped pecans in a good amount of butter and then let it all cool and then add the powdered sugar instead of using butter pecan flavoring?

I followed the recipe and I can't tell there is pumpkin in it. After the first, one I added cinnamon. And the batch made 8 waffles. Disappointed they didn't have more pumpkin taste. Should it taste more pumpkin-y?
Hi, Janice. Thanks for your feedback. Interestingly, pumpkin itself does not have a overwhelming flavor on its own though it adds that healthy goodness. Adding some cinnamon was a good idea. We’d recommend adding some pumpkin pie spice…as a matter of fact, we are going to incorporate that into the recipe above now. Best, your OFA editors
What size can of pumpkin?
Hi, Paul. Since you only need 1 cup of canned pumpkin you should buy the 15oz can. You’ll have some leftover, but you can put it in a covered container in the refrigerator and save for another use—maybe more waffles!
