Thank you for all your helpful hints. I grow gourds every summer. Here in central MD, I simply leave my pumpkins & gourds right in the garden beds after Thanksgiving so get many volunteers the next spring. It is always fun to plant seeds of a new variety as well. I never saw or knew about snake gourds before, one to try for sure.
