We have so many Turkeys around here that they out number us humans at times. Imagine waking up and having 25-50 Turkeys in your front yard, by the door; or driving so slow because the Turkeys will not move out of the road. Unfortunately, we also have people who drive too fast, but the Turkeys are not phased.
The majority are wild with the exception of folks who raise them for food. I wish our area would adopt turkey crossing signs in the busy areas...like where they graze for food and water. Most people marvel at the wild cats that live in the area, but my favourite neighbour by far is our Turkey folks!
